Stretch is a beautiful moving big type, he’s sweet on the ground and calm under saddle and would be a serious asset to a competitive pony club home!
With only 1 start in his racing career, and a solid 5 months rest before retraining, Stretch has a great background to continue his education with success.
So far he has attended lessons, pony club rallies, cross country training days at different grounds, been out trail riding alone and with company, and generally been exposed to all things he will need for his new life! He has a solid dressage foundation with great paces, and a super handy jump. He is bold and neat to jump, and has no hesitation at scary dazzle boards or cross country fences. He has been to a showjumping day where he did 50, 60, and 70cm rounds with great success. Stretch would benefit most from taking a slow approach and consolidating at this height, and you will have a great little eventer on your hands!
I have found Stretch to be an absolute pleasure to have around, he is smooch on the ground and SO FLOATY under saddle!! He is more woah than go, but can have a look around and likes a confident rider to reassure him. No dirt whatsoever but not suited to beginners or nervous riders due to his training and age.
Has been a dream to handle, floats alone or with company, barefoot and no issues, stands happily to be tacked up, wash, rug etc.
Eventers, this is a serious prospect for you! His price will increase as he goes out more, I’m telling you now that this is one i’m tempted to keep!
